From Russell Brunson

Hey everyone, I get a lot of people asking me for more information about how I got started in this business, so I thought that'd I'd write up a short history about me.

I was born in Provo Utah on March 8th, 1980 to Ross and Marde Brunson. My family moved to Sandy Utah where I grew up with my 5 brothers and sisters (Heidi, Stacy, Scott and Shawn).

When I was in 8th grade, I started wrestling. I wasn't a very good athlete (as my coaches and friends used to always tell me) but I guarantee I was the hardest worker on the mat. I feel in love with wrestling, and by my junior year I won the Utah 5A state championship. My senior year I ended up taking 2nd place in the nation at high school nationals and earned All American honors.

After high school, took a wrestling scholarship to Brigham Young University. I earned a starting spot and ended up taking 3rd in the WAC that year. Right after nationals, we got word that they were dropping BYU's wrestling team. I was asked to stay and wrestle the last year for the team, but decided instead to go serve a two year mission for my church.

I spent the next 2 years in New Jersey teaching the gospel door to door. It was one of the greatest experiences in my life. I had a chance to focus 100% on helping other people instead of myself. I also received the greatest sales training in the world.

After my mission I transferred to Boise State University so I could continue wrestling. I wrestled for the next 4 years but unfortunately fell a little short of my goals. I didn't receive All American honors in college, but ended up being ranked 14th in the country when I graduated.

During my first year at BSU, I met a beautiful girl named Collette. I quickly knew that I wanted to marry her, but unfortunately it took me about 4 months to convince her that I was the right guy for her. After she was convinced, I proposed, she said yes, we planned a wedding, and about 9 1/2 months after the first time we met, we were married. :)

She supported me while I was going to school and wrestling, but I always felt a little guilty. I decided to try to figure out a way to earn some extra money and decided to try out the internet. I quickly became fascinated with it and the possibilities of making real money using the internet.

I spent about 18 months trying (and failing) with every program, product and course I bought. At about that time I figured out a very easy system for creating and selling products online. I paid a programmer $20 to create my first software product, and within 30 days have made over $1,000 selling it. Month #2 I made over $2,000 and by month 3 I had made over $5,000.

I was hooked and started to study marketing and business every moment that I was awake. My senior year in college I earned about $250,000 and within a year of graduation had crossed the million dollar mark.

About this time, my wife had found out she was pregnant with twin boys. About the time they were born I decided to turn this business away from being a "hobby" and turning it into a real business. I got an office and started hiring employees. We currently fluctuate between 10 and 15 employees in house, 4 overseas, and 7-10 in our call centers.

As I mentioned above, my wife had twin boys (Dallin and Bowen) in December of 2005, and a few short months later we found out she was pregnant with a baby girl (Ellie) who was born in June of 2007.

My best times in my life are the time I get to spend with my wife and our 3 beautiful kids. I love this business because it gives me a lifestyle where I can be there for them whenever they need. I am very passionate about helping others to reach that goal also. That is why DotComSecrets.com is here. To help you to take your life to the next level. Russell Brunson
