Make More Money with Different Packaging

Have you ever purchased Chow Mein Noodles from the store? There are a few different packages you can choose from and I actually like to pay a little bit more for the most convenient one. It’s re-sealable, so I don’t end up with noodles all over the place, and for me that’s worth the extra money.

We see that example of different types of packaging in our own company and with our affiliates, because people will pay more for the same content in different packages. For example; one of our partners has produced a book about teaching babies sign language. Now, they could sell just the book for about $10.00 each. However, by adding 2 DVD’s to their book and making it a package, they can now sell it for $29.00. It works and it’s selling like crazy! It’s the exact same content just packaged in a different way.

The convenient part about doing a DVD instead of a book is, in most cases, you can order your bulk CD’s or DVD’s for under $2.00 each. But a book will run you about $8.00 a piece. So it can actually be cheaper to go with a higher end product than a lower end.
