The Buzz About Viral Marketing
Have you ever made one decision that completely altered your life? It can be that it altered it for either good or bad, it doesn't matter, but just one decision that changed everything?
I believe that all change happens in an instant. I wanted to share with you one story about a decision that I made three years ago that altered everything for me.
About three years ago (June 2003) my wife and I financially hit rock bottom. I was working a summer job as a painter (struggling at nights trying to get my internet business to work). We were bringing in enough money to almost cover our bills.
I say almost because there was a night in June that my wife and I had to go and pawn all of our CD's to pay for the groceries.
About that time I made a decision to purchase a marketing course that cost me $1,000. I'll tell you which course it is in a second, but first I want to share the impact it had on our life.
We obviously didn't have the $1,000 for the course, so I started doing some dead end jobs and we opened a credit line to cover the costs. After getting the CD's I listened to them in my car and on my headphones while I was at the job.
Those CD's taught me the power using viral marketing to build a HUGE email list. Shortly after listening to that course I created 4 different "viral" websites that were used to build my list.
During the next few months I was able to build lists that have generated me hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Just reciently I've been trying to figure out how to use the same "viral marketing" techniques in a few of the different markets we're in.
We're using them in one of our "dating" niches (when we have numbers and results, I'll share them with you). We're also starting to use them in the wrestling / fitness niche (you'll likely see some of those in January).
I was talking recently with a close friend, (who was the guy who I purchased the $1,000 course from). His name is Mark Joyner.
We talked about some very unique and viral things we're doing to build our lists.
One VERY unique thing that I found out both him and I were doing is using cartoons. Check out one that we are launching later this month:

After talking more about this, we've decided to put on a full webinar to show how to use viral marketing concepts in any niche online.
I wanted to invite you to our webinar this Wednesday night. Here's your special link:
Register For The Viral Marketing Case Study Now!!!
We're going to share with you EXACTLY how to use viral marketing to build a list in any niche... I had to pay good moolah for this info - and you're getting it free... but please do NOT treat it like it's free - or it won't do you any good.
Act like you just paid $1,000 for this content when you get on the webinar, and that is how much it will affect your life.
Thanks again,

Hey russ, thats a pretty personal story. Good to hear or maybe not so.. that What it takes is to hitthe end of your rope and take a big plunge. I was in somewhat the same boat about 18 months ago (didnt pawn my cd's though) and I had one of those epiphany moments. Ive been able to quit the dead end jobs and concentrate solely (more recently) on my online ventures i haven't reached your level of success yet but I will, I may even be a big competitor for you:P . It was a rough start and man you have to stay focused on the prize!! Any ways just wanted to say cool story dude.

Man, I missed it! I'm a member of Simpleology, so hopefully Mark (or you) will be posting an MP3 of the webinar.
Russel you're a natural communicator! With such talents it was only a matter of time before you hit success somewhere. You need to be a nice person to share like this!
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry I missed the seminar. I'm a member of Simpleology. I enjoy listening to Marks seminars. I've also learned a lot from listening to your MP3 seminar. I would have enjoyed hearing you both together. Please let me know if a MP3 version is posted.

There are not many people in the internet world who would help other people for free. I think you would be the first that I have met. May you achieve greater height through your generousity.
Can a site acheive viral marketing when it doesn't sell or advertsing anything? This is an interesting question, but then again, how many sites are there that offers no ads, no memberships, nothing of the sort?
That's exactly what http://www.KeyFess.com has done. An online confession site that offers its visitors a ad free anonymous site where they can post, read & vote on confessions, rants and secrets.
After only two months this site receives almost 10k new visitors a day and has reached addictive levels.
Prior to Oct 2006, a search on Google for "Keyfess" yielded zero results now there are over 3000 results, all this while it has a zero page rank? Well, it is only 2 months old, it will be interesting to see where it is on its first anniversary!
I must "keyfess", it is refreshing to frequent a site that strictly wants to entertain its visitors and asks for nothing in return.
